That's very gentlemanly of you to say. For the record, I feel the same regarding your eloquently stated points.

That is what allowed the dog to dig into his arm. Evidently he was not wearing the thin material, which darklord1967 has noted that canine units employ, underneath the kevlar. One may consider this a flaw in the film or simply a choice or oversight on Batman's part. When he replaces the first suit with the second suit, this weakness is actually intensified because the joints are even more exposed.

Great observation! I had not noticed that. I think the argument could be made that this might have been either one of the two things you mentioned... if not both. The screen writers may have overlooked the protective coverage of the replacement suit, OR the "in-universe" explanation may very well have been The Batman's desire for greater mobility led him to make that intentional adjustment to his uniform. I'm pretty sure The Dark Knight was seeking improvements in his outfit on that front (Re: Ability to turn his head, etc.)

Heh, heh, NO thanks! Speaking for myself, I've had more than my fill of going head to head with YOU for fifteen rounds, good buddy.

Besides which, the amount of hours I spent on this debate last week made me fall a bit behind schedule on the Custom 8 inch MEGO-scaled 1966 Batmobile I'm scratch building. And I can think of a few board members who are going to be willing to boil me in hog-fat if I'm late with my next update on the car's progress.

Clooney gets alot of flack, but that guy is a great actor and one hell of a director. His turn as Batman was ill-advised, but blame the lame-a** screenplay -- and Shumacher, and the producers -- for the abortion that was B&R. Clooney just did the job he was hired to do. He'd be fine as a Nolanesque, detective Batman a-la Bale.

It works like this (in my opinion):
    3 Keatons = 1 Bale
    7 Wests = 1 Bale
    250 Clooneys = 1 Bale
Bales are not measurable in Kilmers.

    Hmmm...

So much for the wisdom of ignore lists when trying to keep abreast of the latest developments around here.

    You prove my point beautifully.

First...I don't mind reading "Your" posts. 2nd...no...I'm not surpised the Movie is being talked about...just that some People want to keep argueing point's that in My opinion...are not something that can be won. And no...I didn't read the part where You and darklord agreed to disagree...because both He & Raydeen1 are now on my ignore list.

I'm geniunely glad that you enjoyed your second viewing equally as much as your first one, dude.

I'm due for my second viewing on Sunday. Seems like forever.

Well, Batdude, clearly YOU are contributing to this "STUPID" thread being kept alive simply by posting messages within it.

You may be right in labeling this thread (and the debate contained therein) as "STUPID" (or unimportant), But I dare say most of the stuff discussed on this MEGO toys message board falls somewhat into that category. With some notable thread exceptions, we are NOT, after all, discussing the finer points of weightier subjects like politics, philosophy, religion, or reasonable soultions for global climate change.

No, here we discuss varying colors of miniature vinyl bat-capes, the merits of removable mask Robin versus painted mask Robin, and other matters of pressing urgency pertaining to silly toys that have been discontinued for over 25 years.

In either case no one ELSE here seems to think that this thread is so "STUPID" that it warranted the opposing opinions of certain posters be censored by placing them on ignore lists... opinions that were never disrespectful or rude towards you.

    That distinction belongs to you.

Furthermore, your wrath doesn't seem to be directed toward any of the other individuals who also continue to keep this debate alive with (eloquently stated) opinions that are similar to your own.

They too are equally responsible for keeping this "stupid" debate alive and / or "trying to get the last word in" as you said.

I suppose that I myself am one of the "two guys" that you refer to when you say that I do not care that this is an issue of "personal preference".

Nothing could be further from the truth. Look at the facts:

In the vehement expression of my own viewpoint on this, I have repeatedly stated how subjective this debate is and how it is clearly a matter of personal preference.

And once again, my own relaxing visits to the MEGO Museum message boards did not become so threatened by YOUR personal preference and viewpoint on this matter that I felt the need to place YOU on an ignore list.

In the final analysis, (speaking for myself) my debate contributions to this thread ended more than two days ago.

I have not had an interest in "getting the last word" or any such thing. New posts expressing new opinions continue to be contributed regardless of my meaningless participations.

But just as some have advised ME along the way, I will do so with you: Don't take this stuff so seriously. Take life a little easier, and have a little tolerance for ideas / viewpoints that are different than your own.

Who knows? It might even be fun.

The world would likely be a better place if we all didn't just shut out the opinions that we didn't like to hear. There's plenty of that already. In fact, most of the time, calling attention to an issue or two is a great way to steadily improve things for the better.

The excellent Dark knight film we are all enjoying this summer is at least partially possible because of a lot of debates (like this one) regarding the (arguably inferior) films that came before.

But if this thread and the debate contained therein is so offensive / irritating to your peaceful time here (as you stated), then perhaps your time would best be spent visiting another thread... rather than re-exposing yourself to a supreme irritant.

Just a friendly thought... one that sadly you will not see since I am on your ignore list.

First off, NONE of the stuff I complained about is nitpicky. Everything that bothers me about the movies are legitimate complaints about messing with the character.

Second, I NEVER implied that him having a lisp was a complaint on my part. I merely stated a fact that he has one. I could care less.

Third, I really don't care about getting a "last word in". My last post was not a complaint or a gripe or a poke. I mentioned 2 coworkers who know NOTHING about the debate going on here mentioned to me that his voice sounded strained and forced as Batman. I made NO mention of the debate going on here and in fact, I wasn't even involved in it because I haven't seen the movie and I have no comment on it.

Batdude, get over yourself would you? You put me on ignore, so ignore me already.
