Anybody ever live in Flagstaff AZ?

Hiya Folks,

My fambly is considering a big move in the next year or so. Have some job options in Flagstaff. From what I see, it looks kind of expensive. 'Specially as I currently live in a 8k population town in TX. If'n anybody has any info on Flag, shoot me a PM; I'd love to get some inside skinny before we make any BIG decisions.

Never lived there, but visited it often...great place. Downtown is kind of cool, and Flagstaff is pretty much The last place you'll see with real trees and green grass if your on your way further South.

It sounds like a pretty happen place, from what I have heard. Not too awfully expensive and a college town so there are probably things to do, and PYT's to look at I would move there in a heartbeat if I had a job lined up. Good climate, Winter sports, summer sports, Gotta love that.

Somone On This Board Lives In Flagstaff. I Live In Phoenix, But Work In Flagstaff Once In A While In The Summer. Weather Is Great In Summer, Some Snow In Winter, Not A Real Big Town. Hope This Helps

I live in Phoenix. My wife and I moved here from Ohio. Moving out here was an excellent choice, one of our best ones. It is so beautiful there. I don't know much about Flagstaff. Sedona is really close and a breath taking place. Living close to that is enough. Flagstaff has all 4 seasons, but that is about all I know about it. We are going to move to San Diego in about a year and a half. We really enjoy going there and would rather be on the ocean. Your best bet is to go and visit it. Look at Sedona and then make a decision after that. I don't know much about TX, but I didn't want to move from Ohio until I saw it here. If you visit it and don't like it, don't move. If you like it, plan on moving in a year or so after. That way you can save up for the move.

Hiya folks,

Thanks for all the posts. I am originally from NM and am used to mountains and winter. We have been in central TX for 15 years now, tho and are looking into a little bit of change. I used to travel for a living and have been in and around the Flagstaff area quite a bit. It is one of my top picks of places I enjoy. My worries are more about cost of living there. It seems a little high, especially the house prices. So, I was just trying to see if anyone spent any time there and had some insight on living expenses.
