I guess for Craig's list the best way to get it to work is to look for and pick up items in your local area? I imagine there are many snakes out there as well willing to take your money and not send you the item they promised.

There's no such thing as buyer protection on Craigslist...that's why all my transactions are carried out locally and in person.

i've heard some stories where the seller has an expensive item to sell and when they meet the buyer, the buyer jacks them and takes off with the stuff at gunpoint.

The only bad stories I've heard besides the usual scams,was that girl that got a date on there and she was found dead in Cali
