Anybody remember 1980's Taco Bell's --- Taco-Salad ?

Back in the day was a construction worker … Taco-Salad made my belly happy and got me through the day

Oh yes. I used to work at Taco Bell in the very early 90s. Frying the large flour tortilla into the bowl shape one after the other is kind of burned into memory.

I remember liking it a lot. I also remember it was the single highest calorie item on any fast food menu.

Fried flour tortilla...taco meat and refried beans...lettuce tomato chives...cheese guacamole and sour cream...salsa or ranch dressing or even better...both.

Oh yeah, that was really good! My go to Taco Bell items were a Chilito (or Chilli Cheese Buritto) and a Double Decker Taco. I would sometimes get the salad or a Mexican Pizza. I think the only one of these left on the modern menu in my parts is the Mexican Pizza.

My dad doesn't eat beans. and he always ordered it with no beans.

I have very vivid memories of the day he started throwing up into that tortilla bowl. and then the lady in the booth behind starting to throw up. So vivid i can still hear it unfortunatley

Yes I do, I didn't order them very often though. My favorite was always the Enchirito (w/Sour Cream)...

The enchirito was the king. U can still sort of low key order it when they arent busy.
