My latest painting...Karloff as the monster!

After many months of learning, I present my very first digital painting.
I finally embraced the dark side. LOL
One thing I do love however, is correcting mistakes is MUCH easier.

Fantastic! I don't know anything about the techniques, but I love the palette.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

For the layman, what is digital painting ?

Is it manipulating an existing photo ?

Or is it somehow painting it from scratch but using just the computer instead of a physical paint and bush ?

A little of both...I used a photo for reference, but changed a few things...basically converted it into a sketch, and then painted over it.

          Interesting,

I like it but nothing can beat your meat and potatoes scratch paintings

Artistically, thems where you truly shine and captivate/motivate your audience
