Gotta be Ghostbusters. But I like Stripes, Dave and I will always have a soft spot for Kindergarten Cop for no good reason, other than Arnold's interaction with the kids.
If I had to pick one, it would be "Stripes". I don't know how many times I have seen it over the last 40 years and I just watched it again a few months ago. Still makes me laugh and it remains (at least in my mind) the quintessential performances of Murray, Ramis, Oats, and Candy. The whole cast was great in a movie that really has no plot or even much basis in reality. Just a bunch of weirdos thrown together to make us laugh.
Of course, I did love the two "Ghostbusters" movies. "Dave" was another one I really enjoyed and "Evolution" was a good popcorn flick.
Definitely Ghostbusters, but I actually just watched Meatballs for the first time since I was a kid just last week. It was far more seeet natured than I expected.
For me its a three way tie between Stripes, Meatballs, and Ghostbusters. They all get watched at different points each year. When Summer is approaching me and the wife ring it in with Meatballs because of the song " Are you ready for the Summer". Ghostbusters always comes into play around Halloween and Stripes usually somewhere in between those two.
Stripes. And he died Sunday? I actually watched Ghostbusters:Afterlife on DVD that night. And I really thought it was a good, enjoyable film. The kid named Podcast was hysterical.
