Mego buzz should be renamed obituary buzz since every time a moderately public figure dies they get their own thread

Howard Hesseman made Johnny Fever real, one of the early character influences from a good TV Series.

I liked him in all the things that I watched him in.

He is in the Burt Reynolds movie, Heat, I watched it again recently.

I enjoy seeing him in Billy Jack as well.

        R.I.P. Howard Hesseman.

This is general buzz, not Mego buzz. At any rate, discussion of things retro, vintage, and beloved at our ages will probably and increasingly involve eulogies.

WKRP is one of my favorite sitcoms ever, and Hesseman was perfect in it. RIP, thanks for the laughter.

Mrs TBolt and I were just watching WKRP today and wondering who was still around. I'm not going to let Maid Marion bother me on this.

                  Goodnight, Dr. Johnny Fever.

You are transparent; I see many things... I see plans within plans.

Oh man… hate to hear that… WKRP is one of my favorite shows of all time. Dr Johnny Fever one of my favorite TV personas.

I drive across that bridge into Cincy every couple of weeks and can’t help but start singing that song.

At one time, because of the WKRP series, the image of Dr. Johnny Fever was what I pictured all DJs to look like...

Until now, I didn't know that he ad-libbed a lot of his on-air banter on the show... It can be read here:

I always liked Howard in WKRP and Head of the Class. He has a small part in This is Spinal Tap, too. He got his start in a comedy group back in the late 60's called the Committee. How many people remember a movie he made back around 1985 called Private Lessons?

I too have a soft spot for him from "Head of the Class". Growing up as a nerd, he was the teacher I always wished I had.
