"Well, what do you guys think?"

"I would torch it around this corner; give it a nice char."

    "Say no more..."

    "Well...that was ****'n embarrassing. Merry Christmas, A******."

^ regular ham or non smoked ?

My Ma used to cook a regular non-smoked ham on a hotplate in the cellar for what seemed like days

In the end, throw it in the oven to get a char --- mmmmmm

                  Merry Christmas everyone!
It was beef tenderloin on the menu today, a Christmas tradition for our family (it’s pricey, but once a year we indulge).

                  Trimmed and tied up.

Oiled and seasoned with kosher salt and fresh ground pepper.

Browned in a cast iron skillet.

Coated with butter blended with garlic, fresh rosemary and fresh thyme, then transferred to a roasting pan and placed in the oven at 400 for 40 minutes.

Removed from the oven, placed on a cutting board and tented with foil for 20 minutes.

Sliced and ready to serve; melts in your mouth.
