Is Paul McCartney really DEAD ?

I read up on this a few months ago, looked at all the evidence on several different sites, and I'm convinced that it's all coincidence and fan imagination. If you read about the events that were taking place while those photos were taken (such as the other shots taken for the Abbey Road cover, which show the guys in different orders and cadences) you'll realize that it's all just accidental happenstance. Song lyrics, mysterious shapes in photos, and supposedly symbolic costume choices are all mundane and coincidental.

At the same time, I see the appeal of this "game". Careful you don't get sucked into this for days on end, as I've been!

EDIT: For example, the Volkswagen license plate on the AR cover reads "LMW 281F" (giving rise to the "28 IF" belief, as in "if he'd lived"; but actually, Paul was 27 in the summer of 1969 when the cover photo was taken.)

Paul is the only Beatle that's barefoot
Paul is the only Beatle out of step with the others ......
Paul is smoking a cigarette with his right hand (he's actually left handed)
28-IF is the plate on the Volkswagon (Paul would have been 28 years old if he would have lived)

That was a decades old rumor and the Beatles made fun of it when they made the cover of Abbey Road. Ever wonder why Paul McCartney doesn't have any shoes on? Because when your buried you don't wear any... The Beatles didn't have to start rumors, the media was too busy doing it for them, so they had fun with it.
