So, if you had the 35mm Dark Knight trailer...

Some of you know I have been working 2 jobs for a while now. Just so happens I was blessed with receiving a neat addition to my prop collection; a 35mm Dark Knight trailer.

Now, I want to display it somehow... I picture a shadow box, a couple reels and a low wattage light. I figure I can thread up both reels keeping them about 5 inches apart. In that five inch space, there ought to be a dozen or so frames....if I wind to a really good shot of heath ledger as Joker, I would install a 5watt bulb or led behind it to illuminate Heath's frame. Lastly, have one of my prop guys make a custom metal plaque and put it all together.

    What would you do? Ideas?

I would also add a magnifing glass to see the frame better.

          Hmmmm....

I'd convert it to disk to watch, and keep the reel secure somewhere.

I think the light may damage the film over time. You can get uv glass for the front to keep out harmful rays, and an led light would probably be fine cause they are pretty much heatless. Neat idea. Maybe incorporate some other stuff from the film like a promo card, or separate screen cell, or a batman mask or something. Good oppoortunity for a creative piece.

The reels sound like a good idea. They always look good in a display.

all sounds pretty cool and i an appriciate the want to show it

                  but if it was me

i wouldnt display it, have any light anywhere near it and cut it off from the eliments... ie;- seal it in something the mold, dust, light, so on and so cant get to it

perhaps some kind of acid free afa type case ? but one thats light deflective also

ive had so many things destroyed by light and air/dust alone its a crime
