You misread my post. I didn't say you are taking advantage of your sitter.

I said that my mom was taken advantage of from the parents she watched....some even had the nerve to ask if they could pay her at a later date because of cash flow problems on their end and she always tried to work something out.

All I was trying to do was to give you a different perspective since I saw things from the other end to maybe give you some insight as to what the sitter might be thinking but I obviously don't know her and what you have done for her which I made no comment on.

I honestly don't know why you are lashing out at me with your "I don't care about your reliving your mom's experience" comments. Just trying to share what I know to help you make an informed decision.

When you say "her" perspective it's unclear it's your mom and yes, I got defensive.

When your sitter was watching your child for $130 a week and it was full time, she was working for far less than minimum wage ($130 / 40 = $3.25). That seems awfully low. Is that correct?

Minimum wage x 3 other kids. Mine wasn't the only child. By the way, my wife picked up my daughter at noon on Thursdays so the sitter did ok. I'm wondering what your point is Steve? I wish you would not post on anything I post. You seem not to like me which is fine with me and when you make it personal I have a problem so to avoid that just avoid my posts.

You are really touchy, man. I meant no offense. I was just trying to figure out the math of the situation so I could offer advice from an informed position; the numbers were vague and I asked for clarification. Yeesh.

This is the second time you've had a knee jerk negative reaction to someone posting in your thread. Maybe you shouldn't ask people for advice if you're so sensitive and quick to misread people's good intentions.
