Global warming is a real thing … here in the Poconos (NE PA) a lot of tourist stuff is/was geared toward skiing

Today, the snow-machines can't make enough white to last more than an hour...

Some resorts have given up all together and converted to water parks and casinos

That’s what I figured. Seattle and Portland are similar to San Francisco. That’s why I was shocked to see these extreme hot temperatures up there on the northwest.

Boston is getting their second heatwave of this early summer, the next 3 days will be in the mid 90’s with high humidity and an index rate of around 105. There are community centers where you can go to beat the heat, elderly people and small pets are cautioned to stay indoors. I don’t have central AC just a window unit in one of the bedrooms that has two windows, so the best I can do is keep the windows closed and put floor fans in the living room, kitchen and the other bedroom blowing out into the hallway, it’s not perfect but it does help some.

I can deal with hot weather, it’s the humidity that’s rotten lousy.

Plenty on Amazon. That’s where we bought ours a couple of years ago. We turn it on when once in a blue moon we get a 90+ weather.

Here in San Francisco/Oakland area, 67 degrees. We are going to have a scorcher on Tuesday, 72 degrees...

Oh, and we even have one air conditioner unit, but almost never use it.

The Bay Area is far from perfect, but one thing that we do have is the best year round weather in the country. Having said that, extreme weather has happened on very rare occasions as well. The all time high for Oakland was 109 degrees once. But after a few days, it went back to the high 80s or so.

I’m quite shocked Seattle and Portland are so hot. I always thought of them as rather “colder” type cities.

My local grocery store has window air conditioners pretty cheap --- like starting under a hundred bucks

Might not be great but it's something
