A more recent one was to go in person for an UNO Pizza.
They might still have frozen.
Red Bull, they are probably long gone.
and, another one from a while ago, there was a steak house at the mall, but I don't remember the name.
The steak house had knight decorations in there, I think, it probably was not a chain restaurant, I am not sure.
One place that became a parking lot, had a basement restaurant, and it was really good, one of their best items was the borscht.

Having grown up amid a region of truly plentiful, delicious Italian food, I've been officially missing such bounty for years!
And just to go full-on rust best nostalgia, 1980's Arby's, the legendary BBQ of The Pit, Booba's pierogi, popcorn & Dr. Pepper from the Uptown Theater, and a Snappy Joe from Snaps!Leave a comment:

Forgot Ponderose. That was one of my family’s favorite places when I was growing up. Loved their burger.Leave a comment:

The only Big Boy near me was owned by Larry Holmes (Champion Boxer)
He owned The Commodore Inn (motel and restaurant)--- aka ---including Bob's Big Boy.
Was the nicest, cleanest restaurant you'd ever want to visit.
Because of hard times Larry had to sell the place and it became crap --- and then finally nothing.
Today, it's a parking lot for an out-of-date closed down mall.
Really sad story but shout out to Larry Holmes --- Loved your restaurant !!!!
Holmes -- super-total class gent in all respects

Lucky to still have 2 Bob's Big Boy local to me: Burbank and Downey. When I wore a younger man's clothes, I would frequent the O.G. Bob's in Glendale.
I do miss the H. Salt Fish & Chips 21 Shrimp in a Basket.Leave a comment:

I feel lucky as I have a Big Boy and Arthur Treachers near me, though I always get the fish at Arthur Treacher’s.
For me, I’d go with the old fried apple pies from McDonalds.Leave a comment:

A Taste for Food You Can't Find Nowadays
Was just thinking, I really have a taste for a local roach-coach cheese burger from the 1980's...
Made me think, what other foods do I crave but can't find in 2021 …..
1. --- Roy Rogers Double-R-Bar burger
2. --- Arthur Treature's CHICKEN and chips
3. --- Big Boy's "Big Boy" … (Big Mac ripped it off)
4. --- Stewarts Drive-In --- shrimp in a basket
5. --- Taco Bell --- Taco Salad … yes, it had a million calories but who cares ? … it was goooooodTags: None
