One Man's Toy Treasure, Another's Toy Trash

Do you ever feel gulity about throwing away toys or vinatge items that do not fit into your collection?

Sometimes I'll grab a lot on eBay that contains mostly things in which I have no interest, but has one or two gems buried within. Maybe there's a cool, vintage 70's Spiderman rack toy amongst a bunch of more modern Spidey merchandise or two needed Superhero magnets surrounded by rubber state and 70's kitsch magnets, but I'll eagerly buy the lot for that one thing. When I look at the refuse I always wonder if there's someone out there who'd kill for an orange rubber magnet in the shape of Kentucky.

I don't wonder enough to re-list it or anything, but I've actually kept some things in which I have no interest with the thought I might offer it up here or even list it on eBay. Right now in my desk I have Batman and Superman toys that look like they might have come from Burger King. I even have some Mego stuff I know I will never use (mostly AJ clothes in bags and bags). I even feel guilty throwing away AJ outfits boxes after I've taken the outfits out to pu on an AJ for display.

Do you ever wonder about other's interest in your "trash" or feel a little guilty when you get rid of it?

I just won an AJ figure with ratty clothes. Will be glad to take any of your cast off clothes or mismatched pieces. This will be a low buck AJ!
Too many toys. Not enough space!

Most of the time when I buy lots of stuff for one or 2 items I want, I just put the rest of the stuff in an opened box and leave it by my dumpster ... Not in the dumpster ......

The kids around the neighbourhood AND their parents usually pick it clean within an hour

I give my extra stuff to Good Will or Salvation Army, when I don't know what it is and think it might be collectible or have some play value. I hope someone will find it that either needs it for their collection or some kid will love it. Either way I feel better about it.

If I know what the extra is and It worth listing on Ebay I'll list it for a few bucks.

I use to purchase lots of Kinder Surprise Toys and go through them picking out the toys I specifically want to collect. Many times I found incompete pieces but later completed them from other lots. Some I've given away and others I just kept.

Recently, I've been purchasing lots of Mego Star Trek figures and finding other stuff in them. My first Mego Star Trek lot purchase came with some Big Jim items. Timing was on my side, I was able to get a lot of Big Jim figures and accessories from the Marketplace and that has started me on another line of vintage action figures. If it comes to a point when I start to amass things I can't use then I usually donated the stuff to Goodwill or find someone else who could use them.

If you get tired of seeing those bags of AJ stuff then I'll be happy to assist you in finding them a new home.
