    Your favorite year?

Mike's thread got me thinking...what was the year where everything was just a blast to be alive?

Mine would have to be 1976-1977..

I was born in the USA...but moved to Mexico in 1970.

1976 was my last year there, great memories indeed...and then 1977 was my year back to the States, just in time for Star Wars.

Wow...76-77 was the BEST year of my life.

I gotta agree with Hector. 1976-1977. Things were great in 1976 when I was just a wee lad, and the BOOM! Star Wars in 1977.

1989 When I met my wife. Also 2002 when my Lizzy bear came. Also 1998 when I graduated college was pretty good but I'd have to say when I met my wife. What a great time. Unfortunately it was also one of my worst years because I went to Panama to fight. I learned how to jump out of an airplane then also. Very fond memories overwhelm the bad ones them. This thread just brought back all of the memories of friends that I have either lost contact or have passed on. Good thread.

I'd have to say when I graduated from High School, moved out of My Parents...and got My own Dig's(1983-)! I was having a blast...going to Punk Rock shows all the time, from Maine to Boston! I Was Young, and extremely good looking...and was having the time of My Life! I even played in a Punk Band for awhile...We played out at Our Local Pub(hang out).

          I didn't have a care in the World...God, I miss those Days.

Gotta agree with the 76-77, I was a kid and life was simpler.

However 1998 and 2001 rank as favorite years as well

Think B.A. Where did you hide the Megos?

Well, from '77-'79 were tough for me, b/c my sister, brother and grandmother all died in that time frame. So I guess any year from '66 to about '76 when my sister got sick.

I would probably have to say 72-74 -- I was a youngster and just carefree and fun, life was good.

1995-1998 I graduated in 95 and started college. I changed so much and met so many new people that I was finally able to start getting over the crap people did and how miserable I was in high school.

1990. That was my second year of college. I never knew I could have that much fun and drink that much alcohol. Sure felt like it was going to last forever. Now it's 18 years later and all I have are memories, scars, rap sheets and ex-girlfriends.

1974, when I first saw Planet of the Apes on tv. I would review the TV guide and remember which time slots I needed to be in front of the TV so I would not miss any ape shows.

1984 was my fave.......Super Powers, Secret Wars and still Star Wars toys on the shelves. My family took it's only vacation....to Washington DC no less.....summer ended on a down note when Cubs blew 2 games in San Diego to miss out on the World Series....we were undone by Steve Garvey-Socal ladies man, and our own Leon Durham, who pulled a Bill Buckner in game 5 2 years before anyone knew what a Bill Buckner was.

Didn't Bill Buckner play for the Cubs around that time?
