Have you checked your PM Settings?

go to settings, in the top right corner of the main forum page. then on the left hand column under "my account" click general settings. check and see what you have checked off for private messages. you might have somehow gotten it turned off

I agree with J.B. and Nostaligiabuff, check your settings as they described it to you.

Since there's no PM option when I clicked on your name here in this thread, I tried to just type your name into the recipient users box of the PM page, and when I hit send, this message came up:

"toyhunter1970 has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her."

So, since the moderators said everything's okay, it must be your settings not allowing PMs.

I'm not 100% sure but I think different themes (seventies child etc.) may have slightly different page layouts and settings... You might want to try changing your theme and try it again.

I have it under Forum Actions which is between Community and Quick Links in your drop down at the top of the forum. Then you'll see Private Messaging and you can turn it off and on and limit who you can accept messages from. Even if it's set correctly, I would change it and hit save and go back and change back to Private Messaging on and From all members and hit save changes all of the way at the bottom. It's possible the database needs a little kick to fix that table entry for you.

i went to forum action and i have no private messaging option?

Forum Action, and choose General Settings, then you should have another page pop up.
