Another really nice guy is Dirk Benedict (Face from the A-Team or Starbuck from BG))

I went to see him at a very small local show .......
Nobody was in line and wanted his autograph ......
I went over and started BS'ing with him .......
We BS'ed for over 45 minutes --- just weird off topic stuff like you'd BS with a a regular guy...
At the end, he refused to take any money for his autograph.

    Nice guy
    Very down to Earth

^^^those are the cool celebs. when we saw adam west years ago, he was really nice...fans wanted to talk to him and take pics...and his assistant was being a dick, he told him to shut up and let his fans talk, etc. lol. he was very cool . although, we didnt get an auto. from him...they were like 30 bucks back then('01 or so)....and we had all ready spent our money on others(uncle owen from star wars)....from what i've heard about AW lately, maybe things have changed for him and he's not really liking doing the circuit, who knows?....

Honestly it doesn't bother me. I collect autographs as a side thing but unlike alot who do it through the mail doesn't do it for me. I also like thinsg personalized.
I'm happy to pay knowing it was signed it person and what I have is legit. I have Happy Days photos signed by three of the four main cast and the fact that I paid for signatures doesn't really take away from it for me. I also relaize that Ebay and dealers have made it a business. These shows provide na opportunity for me to get a signature I probably wouldn't get otherwise.
The only thing I dissapprove of are celebs who take it to the extreme. Like the story about someome asking mark Hamill asking for an autograph and him asking if he should make it out to Ebay. Yes jerks are out there. But don't shun the real fans because of it.
As a side thing I saw wrestlers were mentioned. TNA (Total NonStop Action) wrestling actually send most of their wrestlers out after the shows to sign autographs for free. I had heard about but after experiecng it in May I have to say that is tremendoulsy cool on their part to do that for the fans.

I think that stars find it a bit strange for an adult to ask for their autograph.

My daughter was really excited to get a lot of the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team to sign her program after a match. She didn't get Abby Wambach or Hope Solo although Hope Solo did sign a few autographs and my daughter was excited to be standing just a few feet from her when she stopped signing which is understandable because 1000's of fans were trying to get her autograph. I didn't mind standing a few feet from her either.
