I'm pretty sure that FAMILY GUY is also going to be doing an episode for ESB... I don't know if they'll tackle JEDI, but I hope they do... If any of those films needs to be parodied, it's JEDI... JEDI itself was pretty much a mockery of the two films that came before it anyway so it'd be good to see it get it's comeuppance... (Then again Lucas would have to approve it, so who knows how much they'd get away with... He does seem fond of his "Muppet Show"...)

Family Guy are doing Empire "Something,Something,Something Dark Side" and will be doing Jedi too it appears....there was a script reading of empire on the blue harvest disc as an easter egg with the chicken as Boba Fett.
Looking forward to season 4 of robot chicken too...

I'm curious---how are you for sure that Lucas "approves" everything
RC puts into these specials as if he has any power of the content?

It's true he's given the project(s) his blessing---but other than that---
        what's going on?

Also, I think you're not giving Lucas enough credit---do you really
think he would shoot down an idea from ROBOT CHICKEN because
        he was insulted?

Even if RC had three ewoks jumping around for
a minute straight yelling "We suck! We suck! We suck!" I don't
see why Lucas would really care.

Okay, I have to ask: Where is this easter egg? I have the Blue Harvest DVD and I guess I didn't think about it even having any easter eggs(s). Are there any others besides the script reading?

I have no idea of what his approval or non-approval is as far as ROBOT CHICKEN... If you read my post, I was only talking about FAMILY GUY'S parodies...

I do know that on the BLUE HARVEST commentary, Seth MacFarlane mentions that he watched the BLUE HARVEST episode with Lucas, and that there were a few times he thought Lucas might have been insulted, and if I recall he thought that Lucas might want something changed but that George even chuckled in a few spots. I'd have to listen to the commentary again to verify that he thought George could have potentially wanted changes though, but it's pretty certain that Lucas "could" if he wanted to... You have to remember that Lucas owns SW, so it is his baby and as such, I'm sure he could put the kibosh on anything he wanted...

Again, I have no idea of what he could do as far as shooting down anything on ROBOT CHICKEN, I never mentioned anything as far as an episode from that...

The fact that it's Lucas' "baby" doesn't hold much water.

              1) Parody is free reign

              2) He's not that silly to "kibosh" a FAMILY GUY joke even
if he could----could you imagine ANYONE besides Carol Burnett
              doing that???

She lost her case by the way....

              FROM WIKIPEDIA:
In March 2007, famed comedian Carol Burnett filed a lawsuit against 20th century Fox (and FAMILY GUY), claiming that
it was a copyright infringement for her Charwoman cleaning character to be portrayed on the show without her permission.
Besides that, Burnett stated that Fox violated her publicity rights. She was asking for $6 million in damages.
On June 4, 2007, U.S. District Judge Dean Pregerson rejected the lawsuit, stating that the parody was protected under
the First Amendment, using Hustler v. Falwell as a precedent.
