    Oysters?

I love oysters...raw is my fave, but love them grilled over fire too.

Mmm, I like mine with a tad of minced onions, cilantro, lime juice...and hot sauce, baby...

I've eaten raw shrimp and your description of the texture is pretty apt (but I still enjoy them because I'm a bit of a raw meat foodie ). For a dish like this, I can see how flash boiling them would make them a better fit, it sounds delicious!

    Oh, and oysters? Yes please!

BTW, unlike regular fish ceviche, where the raw fish cooks under the lime juice...raw shrimp is flash boiled for a few seconds first...then cooled with ice...and finally set in lime juice. That's what I was having difficulty with, using raw shrimp.

Was always thinking about trying to make it in the crock … does it come out any better ? … is it even worth it ? … do you have to brown first ?
You should brown it, otherwise it will come out all soggy.

Chicken, Shmicken. One of our favorite local haunts just added 3 of my favorite foods to their Take-Out/Delivery Menu for this weekend: Oysters, Shrimp and Scallops!

    Oysters Galore!

Hah!, look, I've politely resisted making any comments about mediocre, expensive, and egomaniacal chicken products since that other thing <poofed!>… dammit, I lost my tongue in my cheek again!

This is all clearly Hector's fault! Let's cook something… I could go for a table full of deliciousness and some toy talk!

    lol Totally missed that, thx.

Yeah, and I piled on, guilty as charged.

(actually, I wasn't really looking at it from a political angle at all, just basic human rights and decency. I hope that those are still separate things in this world)

I've had their food second-hand, before I was more aware. Yummy. But not worth my $$ or my conscience. I guess I don't have much of a sense of humor obout them, sorry.

I feel the same way, not worth my money or conscience (or time, considering the ridiculous lineups the local ones still have) And like I said, it's just a chicken burger, it can't be that much better.
