James Drury who played The Virginian past away back on April 6th, 85 years old.
On the series, he was only known as the Virginian with no first or last name ever given
or his past history, all that’s known of him is he was from Virginia, sort of a mysterious
cowboy good guy, who was the foreman of the Shilo ranch, owned by judge Garth in the
earlier episodes.
The show has reruns currently on 3 different stations and was the first 90 minute
western tv series.
