i finished it this morning. Every single one of those people is bat**** crazy. the epitomy of Southern white trash. if they didn't have all that video, no one would believe it
I find all of this funny because all of my Tulsa friends are just now cluing in. Sooooo.....it wasn't just a "if you lived in Oklahoma, you knew" kind of thing. Apparently, you had to live West of I-35!
I've been reading a self-described "blog about obscure local media" for many, many years and they became fascinated with Joe Exotic several years back. I find it a little surreal that local weirdness has now turned into a national fascination. What a world we are living in for all the conditions to come together to make that so.
Here's a link to the archive from "The Lost Ogle" if anyone is interesting in reading their coverage and thoughts on some of this as it was happening. (Ogle is a family name of news reporters in the OKC area that have been a part of local TV news for years. There is a lead anchor from that family on all three of the four local network affiliates and we are well into the third generation of Ogles on OKC television. Thus, "The Lost Ogle" is a reference anyone from Oklahoma would instantly get.)
