I did receive an email from Ebay but didn't bother to check it. This is the one I received for 10% off up to $100 for a purchase. I don't know if you need to receive the offer or not for it to work.

I just read up about Mass Pay.
here's what I don't get:
it says that it only costs me maximum $1 to send payments, but i have never before been charged to send money. it's only to receive that i am charged. So, it seems like if i use Mass Pay that the seller of the item is saving money, not me, the buyer.

I've found with ebay that the right hand very often doesn't know what the left hand is doing, so your situation doesn't surprise me at all.

I never received an email from eBay and figured out why. Apparently, I never subscribed to general email promotions. I've since updated my eBay subscription notification preference. If you want to check your eBay subscriptions then go to My eBay - My Account - Notification Preferences - Promotions and Surveys - Click on Show to unhide your subscription options.

Mine's the same as yours. I really do think that one's account has to be "flagged" by ebay in order to sucessfully use the codes. On another forum I visit, people were having the same issue. Unless ebay sends the codes to you personally (or you happen to see a coupon ad on ebay and you click on it) the codes probably won't work for you. But the codes do seem to be the same for everyone who's gotten them.

yeah I know the ones sometimes issued in other countries won't work.So if you're outside the USA it probably won't work

Good point. I only received those coupons for my US registered ebay account, and not for my Canadian accounts, so those particular ones must be a US only deal.
