The Hot Rod Steel Valley Nationals are coming to town this weekend, and the streets will be packed with hot rods and muscle cars. Its like the movie American Graffeti. They're estimating over 3000 cars at the drag strip and car show and the cruises to follow.I've got a 1974 Charger I've had for 18 years that lives for weekends like this. With the amount of cars I saw coming into town on my way home from work ,I don't think $4.00 a gallon gas is going to keep people away.Does anybody else have an old car they show off on such occasions. The smell of high octane and burnt rubber is in the air,let summer truely now begin.

I've got my '89 Mustang GT that flat won't run on cheap gas. I love the car and I'm building a 393 stroker that will only run on av gas or super with the addition of octane boost. I won't be installing it until I can get a halfton truck for my daily driver. I also have an 84 1/2 Mustang GT convertable. I love hot cars and the smell of burnt rubber in the morning.ItComment

Those are some sweet cars. My Unlce has a 67 427 Cobra. I'll post some pics when I get back home. It has a top loader 4speed and 410 gears. At 70 mph is turning 3k on the tack, so you can imagine the gas mileage. He's planning on a 5speed at some point.ItComment
