Propositioned 4x in Vegas

I just got back from Vegas and had a great time. I like to do my gambling late at night and while playing in the wee hours I had 4 prostitutes ask me if I wanted to " have a good time". I told each of them very politely that I was having a good time and was not interested. I found it strange that the casinos/law do nothing about this blatant display. It IS illegal to proposition someone in Vegas contrary to popular belief. Anyone else ever go to Vegas and have this happen to them?

A few years ago when I was in Vegas staying at the Tropicana ...

It was like 2:00 (in the morning) ... I was in the elevator returning to my room after having lost my fun-money for the day ..

This girl (very- VERY pretty black girl about 20-ish years old) ... got on the elevator with me ......

She said ------- So, how did you do ?

I said ---------- Not very good ..........

She said --------- The night is still young ..... Do you want to do better ?

I have to admit ....... I was sooo tempted.........

But I knew what she was - and kindly said goodnight

Illegal or not, prostitutes haunting casinos in the wee hours looking for solitary, "lonely" looking men is as common a Vegas phenomenon as a $7.99 all you can eat buffet..

Are the "scummers" still there on the strip ?

The name "scummers" is what a Vegas taxi guy called the low-life people outside of every casino handing out porno leaflets to EVERYONE including little old ladys and kids.

When I was there last, I think in 2006 --- there was still at least 50 million of these lowlife SOB's.

Just wanted to know if the town finally threw them out.

They really make Vegas look like a cesspool of filth.

Even hookers have way more class then these people

The last time I was in Vegas, I was walking down the strip with my wife and there were definitely "scummers". A guy handed me something and I thought, "What's this?" I quickly threw it away.

The previous day, we were looking for a place to stay and I pulled into a motel parking. There was a lady and an older gentleman getting out of a car. I asked the lady if it was a nice motel and she said, "Not bad." I then asked, "How much?" referring to the motel. When she told me "20 bucks an hour." I thought to myself, "Wow that's an expensive motel." and we decided to find somewhere else to stay. It wasn't until much later that I thought that maybe she was giving me her price. I felt pretty stupid.

The motel we ended up staying in had a big crack in the wall and you could see through the crack and get a nice view of the area behind the motel, and the roof leaked that night when it rained and our stuff got soaked. When we mentioned it to the manager, he said, "Oh well."
