One thing about Ang Lee's Hulk I liked better...

Let's get one thing straight, the new Incredible Hulk film is much better and entertaining than Ang Lee's Hulk.

The new Hulk is more to scale, is more chiseled, looks meaner, has a more awesome growl, and it talks.

Ang Lee's Hulk is simply too big and has a baby-face (although I do like his short hair...the new Hulk has that Tom Cruise hair going on, lol).

    BUT...

There's NOTHING in the new Hulk that can top the Ang Lee Hulk desert scene, it's simply amazing and out of this world, too bad the rest of the film was such a downer.

...and that's how the real Hulk is supposed to jump!

    Agree or disagree?

For the record, Ang Lee's Hulk is not nearly as bad as it's made out to be. It's got a subtle weird atmospheric vibe going on that makes it interesting, IMO. I can think of at least 10 superhero movies that are much, much worse (X-men, Daredevil, Fantastic Four, Ghost Rider, Superman Returns Etc. etc.)......

When I saw that desert scene in the theater for the first time, I was whooping and hollering like a person who just won the lottery! I loved that scene! When he smashes up that tank, it was beautiful!

But 2008 Hulk's hair I have to say I like more cause that's how he looked for about 20 years, so that's a safe place for me. I think 2008 Hulk lookes ALOT better too!

Yeah that desert scene was awesome, and I liked it when Glen Talbot killed himself too!
(It's no secret how much I LOATHE Talbot! Thank God Louis and Co. kept him out of this movie, I mean the character makes me ill!)

but there's the flipside to that argument a stance that all those movies you
listed were BETTER than Ang Lee's HULK simply because they delivered more
of what the masses wanted to see---it may not be "right"
or "easy to swallow" but it's how I see it and I consider myself a pretty
        "with it" guy

Show me ANY of those other superhero movies ANY day over Ang's HULK

Ang's HULK is downright boring for a Marvel comicbook based movieso---so, on that point alone,
        its pretty "bad"

Superman Returns is one of my all time favorite superhero movies, I think it's so elegant and well done albeit a bit slow, and I'm sick of the character of Lex Luthor already...but I simply think the movie is just gorgeous.

Differnet strokes for different folks, lol.

On the flip side of the coin...that scene where Hulk fights those hulked out dogs, argh...good grief...that was terrible, lol.

The X-men movies put me to sleep. Lots of action, but who cares? Daredevil is a paint-by-numbers-made-for-TV all the way ( i can barely remember it). Fantastic Four is also a fuzzy memory. Ghost rider, YAWN. Superman Returns was only barely saved by Spacey, ultimately it was dullsville.

I'm not saying the Ang Lee Hulk was GREAT but, man, by superhero movie standards it's not nearly as bad as most of 'em....

                Here's the thing---Lee's HULK was a maybe a...umm..."thinking man's" movie
(?) or more of an art piece (?)---whatever it was---
it's certainly not what I expected

yeah---some of those other superhero movies you mentioned
the ones that were "less favorites" of mine---
---well, I admit I forgot a lot of what happened in 'em since I saw 'em

                but

at least I remember walking out of the theatre happy I had gone

after Lee's HULK---well---I felt like I wasted my time at the wrong movie
so that makes it "the worst"---and it's not even close to the others
BECAUSE it was so different from expectations---and, unfortunately
for the flick---that's probably the reason most of the world wasn't
                too thrilled with it

With tradional heroes "giving the people what they want" (if you can deduce
it) is a great place to start----what they were thinking with Lee's HULK--I'm
not sure it was even close

The Desert scene is a bad*** scene no doubt about it.But I don't know I guess I just like the way they made the new one out to be.

By the way I love Ghostrider and Dare devil

Anytime you Saw the Hulk in Ang's version,.. the Movie was cool. It was everything else that wasn't imo.

I'm glad to see that Lee's version is getting a more fair shake now that we have a new version to contrast it with. The desert/tank/copter/jet/city sequence at the end of the second act is brilliant stuff, par none in any other superhero film. It's like the Herb Trimpe run from the early 70s has been re-enacted on-screen for our delight. I understand most people think the rest of the movie is a downer/boring/inscrutable, but at least we have this extended, twenty-minute sequence of pure Hulk awesomeness to cue up on the DVD when we feel like smashing something!

The only comment that I will make regarding Hulk 03 is that his jumping ability was closer to the comics than Hulk 08 who seemed to struggle in the movie to get air born. It worth mentioning that Hulk 08s voice is Lou Ferrigno who also did all the Hulk voice overs for the 90s animated series.

The desert scene is the only part of the 03 Hulk I find watchable.

I think non-comic fans thought Hulk's jumps were pretty out there since he never did it on the TV show. That's probably one reason this new Hulk has to struggle to get going.
