My excitedness blinded me...didn't see that. Then I guess it'll be Wednesday, then, from pulling an all-nighter!

I checked out my schedule--I'm on the dish network and it ends at 1 AM. I can definitely stay up and not pull an all-nighter. It's hard for me to sleep anyway...

Wish someone would show all five for the 40th anniversary.

Doesn't AMC usually show all five movies back to back on New Year's eve? I can never make it beyond the third movie since they start so late...I usually have it playing in the background while I customize.

I like it that the Ape movies still get shown but I'd rather break out my DVD's instead to avoid cuts and commercials.

I know...but there's something about it occurring in real time that is appealing to me. Don't know why that is. Besides, the commercial breaks are when I can take a break and do some stuff that needs to be done. Otherwise I zombie out and forget where I am.

I know what you mean about preferring to watch a movie when it's on TV rather than on one's perfectly accessible DVD or video. I think it's the feeling that other people are watching it with you (even if they're not in the room!) that increases one's sense of enjoyment.

As to "zombie-ing out" when there are no commercials, I submit that you are in fact "ape-ing out" and that you begin to think you are actually in Ape City watching a documentary film about your people, uh, apes.
