The Falcon recorded it, (though he missed the first 9 mins.), while I was on the phone w/ him. I won't speak for him making copies though.

I wish I could have it too. They took WPIX off my cable system when the syndex rules took effect.

I missed the special because I was watching "Major Dundee" and then "Ivanhoe". I did manage to watch "The Abbott & Costello Show", "Adventures of Superman", and "Get Smart" (they showed the 1st episode).

I grew up watching WPIX in the 70s and to a lesser extent in the 80s. New York Yankees, The Twilight Zone, The Odd Couple, The Honeymooners, Star Trek, and Action News were tv staples for me.

I was nice to watch Odd Couple on PIX last night.

I haven't seen them in ages ...

They played the Password one ---- MEAT !!!
and the Ticket Scalpping one --- *** of U and ME

BTW, one thing weird about the PIX special ......

They mentioned NOTHING about airing Star Trek (the classic series)

They mentioned everything from Honeymooners to Odd Couple to Little Rascals to even Trek TNG ---- but they never mentioned TOS.

PIX ran TOS throughout the whole 70's and 80's.

Weird, I wonder if CBS told them they can't.

My Son Loved it! He finally saw Get smart and the Abbott and Costello show. He totally loved it! He got a kick out of the PIX game.....I don't know but PIX should run a retro Saturday. Since TVland now sucks

Yeah, TVLand has been in the crapper for some time now. Man, they were great in the early 90s.

WPIX will always mean the 11 pm weeknight lineup on:

11:00 PM The Odd Couple
11:30 PM The Honeymooners
Midnight Star Trek
1:00 AM The Twilight Zone

Although I didn't really partake of The Odd Couple back then.
