    computers - Mac's Vs PC

    Hi everybody!

Does anybody here have a MAC? IF so what kind? I'm a PC user but i'm pretty tired of all these Virus issus i ran into this year. Is it true that Macs are easier to use? Whats best for someone not so great on a computer? /i'm a pretty basic computer guy. Some told me macs are great and easy to use some said just stick with a PC.

All i really do on my computer is surf the net, some ebay, these forums and e-mails.

    Please help!!

I'm a Mac man...er...I mean I use Mac's not wear or flash them.

If your into buying games or programes stick with PC's

If not them get a Mac...probably the easiest is a new Imac.

But go to an Apple store and mess about with them...

    Plus ask the staff.

I've been using Apple since 1995 (had an Apple IIe in the 80s!). I use PCs at work and I would never switch to a PC.

            Googled.

A Lisa Computer...not as nice as an Imac.

I'd love to have one though.

Download open SUSE 10.3 and install it on your PC. You get to keep your PC, linux will run faster than windows ever dreamed of and virus' are a thing of the past.

Think B.A. Where did you hide the Megos?

I've used both. I had a mac in the late 90's. Switched to a Dell in the early 2000's. My PC experience was HORRIBLE. That Dell was nothing but trouble. I was in virus hell. Hardware issues as well. I now run a Mac mini. Trouble free for 3 years and counting....

The thing is is that I'm an idiot when it comes to computers (I also don't know how to fix my car or my tv--I just want them to work!) and that's what makes Mac's so great. Idiots like me can use them and they always work. I don't have to call my computer savvy friends anymore to help me out.....

Yeah, my parents have a Mac mini. Buy the CPU from Apple and then you can buy your own monitor, mouse and keyboard.

The Mac Pro is a demon, I love it.

I've never owned a PC, I know they are excellent too, but I have always had only Macs all my life.

Actually the Mac Pro makes life much easier than the iMac.

You can add drives, memory, all by yourself with a Mac Pro.

With the iMac (unless you are a hardware monster expert) you'll need to take it in for upgrades (and up to a point). If the computer is fine but if the screen goes, good luck. If the screen goes on a Mac Pro, just get another one and connect it to the computer.

The Mac Pro had dual superdrives and four hard drives, and you can keep upgrading until $20,000 is gone from your pocket, lol.

iMac is for kings, but Mac Pro is God's computer, lol.

Hector, I'm drooling over that Mac setup you have. Sweet.

I have a PowerBook G4 that sees a lot of use and never lets me down.
