I loved the The Division Bell for one reason .......
It was the first time Rick Wright sang a new Floyd song since Dark Side.

As an old time Floyd fan, I always wanted to hate the Gilmour Floyd ... but I just cant.

I respect both Gilmour's Floyd AND Roger Waters solo stuff ...

BTW, back in 2000, I seen Waters live in Holmdel NJ (the original Water's In The Flesh USA tour)
Man, he put on a great show .......

Have you noticed that most of the so called "DINOSAUR" bands are great value for money at gigs...all those years in the biz really polishes their performances...it makes me wince sometimes to see new or modern bands mainly due to the performances of these older guys being sooo good

              My Faves:

              1. Saucerful of Secrets

              2. Animals

              3. Meddle

I had the great fortune of seeing them on "The Division Bell" Tour in New Orleans around 1993.

A giant Disco Ball transformed into a pterodactly. At least I'm pretty sure it did. Had a good time at that concert.

The only Floyd record I listen to with any regularity at all is Piper At The Gates Of Dawn (the UK version of course!). It's easily in my top five of British psychedelia. It fricking rules.

Post Syd I like Meddle quite a bit. As the 70's progress it gets a bit dull. Dark Side is alright, a bit overrated for sure. The Wall, IMO, is a complete bore.

I also love the solo Syd records.

I guess I'm not really a Pink Floyd freak, but a big Syd Barrett fan!
