There are some gags in this movie that for me were un-bearably funny.

I was never really a huge Adam Sandler fan, but this movie was absolutely, positively, HILARIOUS.

The audience I saw it with was screaming laughing, and were clearly enjoying themselves.

The humor is a good mix of sophmoric, moronic, butt-crack jokes and well-written culture-clash language jokes.

The female lead Emmanuelle Chriqui is HOT HOT HOT... I'm talkin' steamin' sizzlin'...

I mean, come on... She's worth the price of admission alone!

And the movie has a corny, but feel-good messge about peaceful arab / israeli relations.

In some ways, this film reminded me of Austin Powers: International Man Of Mystery:

When I first saw the ads for that, I thought "What is this crap?". Then I gave the film a chance and the gags were so silly, so well written, so charming, and so absurd that it grew on me pretty quickly.

    Same here. I definitely recommend.
I totally agree bro, same here and everyone was cracking up

and hell yeah that chick was hot!!

He always finds a way to get the cutest chicks in his movies

Sandler and Rob Schnieder are tops on my Must Not See list. I really find Sandler highly unfunny.

^^^ OK, I hate Spade, too. But at least he doesn't come up with a crap low grade "comedy" every summer.

I agree with all this. This flick is gut busting humor. It was the most vocal crowd Iv'e heard in years. Yea it lost out to panda so what, what wouldn't have except a blockbuster. It did 40 mill and I'm sure their super happy with that. Really if this movie doesn't give you a great time, face it and pull the plug.

I'll probably wait for the rental. I usually only go to the theatre for the blockbusters or to take my son to a kid's film.

Disclaimer: Okay, so my Sandler favorites are The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates and Click. Liked Happy Gilmore. Didn't like The Waterboy. Saw parts of Big Daddy. Have not seen Billy Madison, Little Nicky or Reign Over Me. He's good. I'm not sure I like comics trying to be serious. The Truman Show was okay. Liked The Majestic. Liked Bicentennial Man, though.

Saw Zohan last night. I liked the whole Deadly Israeli Super Assassin Wants to Be a Hairdresser idea. That was hilarious! I did get tired of the whole He's hung like a horse gag. I get it's a comedy - but the whole bangin' the old ladies is just gag-inducing. If it had just stopped at his antics styling hair that would have been fine by me. Other than that I thought it was funny. But then, I'm sure it was aimed at a much younger crowd than me.

I guess I keep comparing any comedy to The Blues Brothers and Animal House. Come on, most comedies are by people from Saturday Night Live, In Living Color, MadTV or The Daily Show - so they should know comedy.

The Love Guru just looks stupid enough to be funny to laugh at.

I can't wait for Get Smart.
