How I spent my weekend.

Boy do I wish I was at the meet.

Been nursing 2 sick kids for the last few days. Came down with the fever and sinus problem myself on Friday. Had to drive 280 miles in 100 degree heat yesterday with a headache and 2 grumpy kids and sick wife.

Today my wife went to work so I had to load up the kids, grocery shop, pick up the dog from the vet (knee surgery= no new toys for me!). Barely won Action Martins generous toy giveaway (THANKS!!!!) before my modem crashed. Spent several hours on the phone with comcast only to have a recomendation of getting a new modem. Had to pack the kids up to get to the comcast store (half hour before closing!) to get a new modem. (they are closed Sunday and Monday!) Made it to the clinic for some anti-biotics and nasal medicine for sinusitus or bronchitis. (Again less than 1/2 hour before closing!)

Hooked up the modem and it wouldn't work. Another hour on the phone and they couldn't get it going.

Tried to go to bed but can't lay down without coughing and nasal drain!

Got up after 2 1/2 hours (no sleep!) and all my modem lights were blinking. A few clicks and it is working. Now I have to call and cancel Tuesdays service call!

Sorry to hear that. I was going to go to a rock climbing party, but we couldn't find the address and my friend forgot to tell me what the name of the place was--and she wasn't picking up her cell phone. The kids were so disappointed...so I took them to see Kung Fu Panda on IMAX...and shelled out mega buck$ for the whole day: $45 movie tickets for four; $25 for three kid's popcorn/drink package and 1 hotdog; $4 bridge fare; $12 parking; $36 dinner. I rarely see movies this way and probably won't do it again but it was an enjoyable day. Expensive, but enjoyable.

Jessica I feel your pain. I have 4 kids all teens and preteens. When we go to the movies now I need to take out a second mortgage loan.

The cost of family entertainment is just absurd. Throw in $4 plus a gallan and you can go brike in no time!

I'm taking the clan to Dukesfest and its actually affordable at 25$ for 2 day ticket and kids free. Of course food, beverage, entertainment and autographs will bankrupt me!

This gunk has to go. No sleep for 48 hours. I can't lay down without coughing like crazy and sleeping in a sitting position does not work. I think I slept at most 30 minutes an hour last night!
