Finally got money from the USPS

back in March I had sold a MOTU Faker figure on ebay, and it arrived crushed.Thankfully it was insured.I take it back to the post office and the lady laughs at me and tells me there's no way it's worth that much,I was like oh yeah,I show her the paypal receipt and the ebay auction page. She still tell me no cause the figure itself is still mint,I tell her that being sealed is what makes it worth that much money.

She looks at me like yeah right,I wait and wait and all of the sudden today i receive the check for $179.60

I wonder what happens to the figure

Congrats, I suppose they couldn't argue since you had the receipts and insurance. Think if it was a MOC Kresge or something, one of the ones in the $2,000 or more range.

I had 3 vintage SWars guys show up last week. The original package was wrapped in a plastic bag, never a good sign, with some paper work saying the label "fell off" and they didn't know where to send it. But then they must have found it. It was completely torn open and was covered with black powder, like from a printer ink cartridge. One fig was broken, one badly rubbed, and one was ok. I was bummed but it wasn't insured, and wasn't worth over 20 bucks, so I pretty much let it slide. Mine looked like hell, I don't know if better packaging would have helped it. But he should have used a box and wrapped them separately. Glad they weren't mint. He had simply put them in a padded envelope together in a ziplock baggie. Not impressed.

I got good advice in here once, in that you should always print out your To\From info and put it in the package in case they need to check it.

I received a damaged Shazam MOC once and sent it back to the seller, he refunded my $400 and filed the Insurance... About 6 months later I received the Shazam figure again from the "insurance claim warehouse" ... Still a mystery but a nice bonus anywho!

Either USPS ebays it, or that post office lady gave it to her kid to play with.
