    I am Legend

I've just finished reading I Am Legend...Richard Matheson...very good book
I then watched The Last Man on Earth with Vincent Price...I enjoyed it.
Great to watch alone. It was quite close to the book.
Plus Vincent Price is great...If your only going to listen to one voice through
most of a movie then Price is a good choice.

I then watched Wil Smiths I Am Legend...it was ok, but not really like the book.
    Poor ending.

And I am now watching The Omega Man...Charlton Heston...Nothing like the book.
Very Strange movie...Probably best watched drunk.
I'm not sure if it is suposed to be a comedy.

I made the mistake of reading the book right before watching the Wil Smith version. It really limited my enjoyment of the film.

Yeah, the will smith version is weak at best and has nothing to do with the book. You can't really remove the powerful ending scene that the novella gets it's title from, and still sensibly call your movie "I am legend".

The Vincent price version is the one that came pretty close to the book....but still I wish for the day that someone makes one that's right on spot. It's one of my Fav books...the Will Smith version was a disappointment.

As i'd watched "omega man" and enjoyed it prior to reading the book...I have to seperate them into 2 seperate entities so that I can still enjoy both....Love the Vincent Price movie too...the wicka wicka willd wild west will smith movie can go shoot itself as far as i'm concerned.
