Andrew Lincoln leaving "The Walking Dead"

That is devastating news! He is slated to appear in only 6 of the 16 episodes in season 9. As great as Norman Reedus is, no way he will carry the show. With Laura Cohen contractually obligated to only appear in 6 episodes also, and Danai Gurira in her last year on her current contract, this show is doomed. As seen in my picture icon above, he was the first actor on the show gracious enough to ever send me an autograph through the mail. I wish him the best of luck on his movie career (which is why he is leaving). He will need all the luck he can get! I love this show! Oh well...……...

I stopped enjoying it about a year ago, and stopped watching completely at the beginning of this year. That show just fell off a cliff for me.
Expectation is the death of discovery.

We are all pretty much tired of the show...time to call it a day...

I had no idea the season premiere was tonight until I saw the show on the cover of the Sunday paper TV listings this morning.. talk about being out of the loop :smiley1: Thought the premiere was decent, but basically it felt like more of the same from last season, which I was not a fan of. I mean, there's Negan just standing

Norman Reedus is not a good enough actor to be lead.

TWD used to be a top three show for me. Now it barely cracks my top twelve.

Besides, there’s Fear the Walking Dead...it’s actually better than its big brother counterpart right now...

Andrew Lincoln would make a great Bond villain...he’d be great in something like that...

Yeah this season kind of fizzled out for me, I never did finish watching it. Now with all of this happening, I might be done with it.

I think the whole Neegan storyline killed the show.

Basically it's a retelling of the Governor season retold by a 12 year old kid with attention deficit disorder

Fear has much better writing, and actually still makes sense.
They had some really clever walker-based action scenes last season (I particularly liked the "ball bath" walker)…

TWD stopped being good around the time Glenn got his (fake) dumpster death scene. That was the last time I cared about the show.

Was just thinking, if Rik get's killed off that would totally destroy the popular fan theory that all the events of The Walking Dead are just a Life On Mars coma dream Rik is having on his deathbed in the hospital (see episode 1)
