Which do you enjoy more ....

    The thrill of the hunt
    The anticipation of bidding
or actually winning of the item?

For me I'd say the hunt. I still get a thrill out of the endless searching and then the payoff of finding that one item I've been search for.

man that's a hard one, cause the thrill of finding something is awesome, but winning it? Now that feels good. When you can finally take that deep breath and relax and enjoy the victory

Actually the moment I enjoy the most is when it actually arrives in my house

I hate having that feeling that someone will contact the seller and offer them more money or tell them to relist is cause it's worth more it's happened to me a few times

I like to window shop. I do a lot of comparing and looking, sometimes you find the killer deal, often you don't. At first it was the anticipation of bidding, but after a while I learned to set my max price and if I don't win it wasn't meant to be. I don't fall into the whole bid war trap. I'll find another one someplace. If I really really want to win, I just set a price I am pretty sure won't be met. There are enough different things I am after that I can for go one for another, and keep myself happy. That is all online.
In flea mkts I like the hunt cause you just never know what you'll find, ala you keep your eyes pealed.

I do love the hunt, but holding the figure and feeling that flood of nostalgia flowing over me is the best.

I can still remember getting my first adult Mego. I hadn't seen a Mego in almost 20 years when I got that Superman. It was like the song of the ice cream man, the endless grass fields of those endless summers, the bright Mego packaging being unveiled beneath Christmas wrap all rolled up into one!

The thrill of the hunt is always up there with the hope that one day I'll come across a certain piece (I daydream quite often of finding grail pieces with the hope I might will them into existence ). It keeps driving me on the find what I have on my wants list. Mind you, in doing this, I often tend to forget to appreciate what I have already because it's always on to the next want and the one after etc. It's quite sad really as I have a collection to keep me smiling forever!

With some pieces, the wanting is better than the having. It's a true knock out of the park when you're just as excited to get the piece as you were when you didn't have it.

For me, it's about the toy, not the hunt. I think the hunt would be more fun for people who don't actually play w/ their toys, but I do. For me it's about the regression, or teaching my kids how great the toys of the past are.

Pulling it out of the shipping box and actually laying my eyes/hands on it for the first time. That brief moment is priceless..

The winning....I think it can be very addictive.

The winning, no contest. I do like the hunt, though.
