Cry Macho.
i have mixed feelings on this one. Clint Eastwood is one of my all time favorite actors. this was a well done movie, though i thought the end kind of abrupt. it's also hard to accept Clint in any type of action at this point, i mean the guy is 91. he actually rides a horse in this movie briefly, and yes he really did it. but seeing him throw punches and having the love interest, just a bit of a stretch. but really it is a good movie, a little sad in parts. some good humor thrown in. i do give him a lot of credit to still be making movies at his age
Yeah, you have to suspend disbelief. Clint throwing down with a much younger man was indeed a bit of a stretch. His love interest is a 52 year old actress. So basically when Clint was just about 40 years old, she was just being born, lol.
My least favorite part was the kid. I found him annoying as heck.
But good little movie overall. And I keep saying little movie because it felt more like a Hallmark movie of the week than a theatrical release.
Clint’s The Mule was better. But his last really good movie was Grand Torino.
Amazing that at 91, he’s still at it. Amazing career. What a legend.sigpicComment

^^ Agreed!, but it would have been much better as an Eastwood & Yokum vs. High Society Mexico City 'spoitation flick!… with vampires!Comment

The Many Saints of Newark. I wasn't sure what to expect on this but they really did a good job of capturing the 60s and 70s feel of things. Casting was well done for younger versions of the Sopranos cast of characters. Smells like a sequel.
It's been a while since i watched Sporanos, but it seemed some of the storyline in this movie did not really fit in with what had come before in the series.Comment

agree on both points. Gran Torino i think is actually one of his best movies ever, not the best, but right up there with timeless movies like Josie Whales, Kellys Heroes, Dirty HarryComment

Boyfriend & I just watch both of the animated movies of The Addams Family. The first one was really good, love the origin part of there story. The second one seemed like the forgot about the first one story and made a predictable one with it plot. If you haven't seen it yet wait till it free to watch.Visit my wiki site:

Don’t forget Unforgiven. Great movie. And of course, his Spaghetti Westerns are a lot of fun.sigpicComment

Dune 2021
Boyfriend & I were granted an early pass to review Dune 2021. You can see the love of the original movie being reworked here but at around 2.5hrs long it does leave you in a "to be continued". This is a good thing, in that they are taking there time to build up the Dune series instead of rushing to fit one book in one movie. Still time went by pretty fast when we watched the movie.Visit my wiki site:

No Time to Die.
Some truly great moments.
And some not so great.
The Aston Martin DB5 is definitely a highlight.PUNY HUMANS!Comment

Hour of the Gun- 6/10
I more subdued take on Wyatt Earp, James Gardner was a better fit for the role than Burt Lancaster.
Superman 4 The Quest for Peace -3/10 first time watching it since young childhood, I somehow forgot about Hemingway breathing in space Superman in media had a bit of a losing streak with this, the first season of Superboy , and the Ruby Spears cartoon.
Phantom of the Opera (1962)- 6.5/10 Not considered one of the better Hammer films, not great but a decent take on the classic tale. .Comment
