The dentist sketch from Carol Burnett is one of the FUNNIEST things ever to appear on television. I still tear up from laughter whe I watch that. If you haven't seen it, head over to youtube right away.

RIP Harvey...when I read this thread's title I thought of the Great Gazoo first and Carol Burnett second.

Wow, Saturday nights w/ The Carol Burnett show in the 70s was IT. And now, sadly, one is gone from that merry bunch of comedians. And I had forgotten he voiced the Great Gazoo on the Flintstones. But I'll remember him most from the Carol Burnett show. I hope TVLand does his memory justice and does a marathon tribute or something.

Good-bye Harvey. Thanks for the laughs. I will really miss you.

Whoever said the thing about the 70s icon stuff---is dead on---
any body that talented and iconic, I will sorely miss

Maybe I'll bring em with me to WV. We can run em in the suite. I think I have both of them on the new DVD releases.

I got to see him and Tim Conway in 2002 in Vegas, they were just as funny as they were in the 70's

One thing about Harvey that was very unique .......

He wasn't a straight man, but he also wasn't a clown.

                    He was something in between.

He'd play the straight man to a tee, then all of a sudden he'd go into being the clown.

I admit, not being a fan of the Carol Burnett show.

I didn't like it because I thought it wasn't very funny.

To me, for the most part, I thought the jokes were too juvenile..

I always loved Harvey, especially when he went into movies.

Just thinking of when they would crack each other up makes me smile.

Consider me bummed to. Besides loving him on Carol Burnett, he really kept Blazing Saddles all together. It would have been a funny movie without him, but his Heddy...that's Hedley LeMar made it one of the funniest movies of all time.

I was just watching the Star Wars Holiday Special the other night and I thought to myself, "He's gonna pass away soon." I didn't think it would be this soon though. I thought he was hilarious on Carol Burnett.

I think he was at his best in his Mel Brooks movie rolls. RIP my friend.
