Comcast was hacked last night. Any tech guys here?

I was online when it was going on last night and following at BroadbandReports

    Comcast hacked? - dslreports.com

but never saw the hacked page. Just the Network Solutions one.

A question for the tech guys. From what I undertand the hackers redirected the comcast.net home page to their own through comcast's host Network Solutions. Should comcast users be worried about email accounts being compromised or anything like that? Comcast says no.

Comcast.net site is hacked briefly - Yahoo! News
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

depends what they hacked and what they've linked through....Is your email direct through comcast or outlook express, live messenger or other?email usually works on different protocols I think so you may well be ok.

      Wow...I'm glad I left ComCrap...

In regards to concerns, you should always be concerned, and believe it or not, this is actually common with smaller sites, even local Bank sites, and it could be done as simple as a FREE Application changing a local file on your machine to redirect www.citibank.com to someone's web server that has a copy of citibank webpages and as soon as you enter your account info and password (which they could see in plain text), it displays a page that says we're experiencing Technical Difficulty...

Historically I believe similar hacks were done way back using eBay and Amazon faked webpages (when the companies were infants).

As mentioned before...you should only be concerned if you entered any vital information through the Web Page (i.e. Your login and password)...if you have a local e-mail client (Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird, etc.) then that information is not shared/entered through the webpage...so nothing has been compromised.

      Hope this Helps.
