Don't get me wrong - I love the fact that people are dedicated to cassettes - but I love that more than I personally love cassettes.

So, that's why, in the 23rd Century, The U.S.S. Enterprise carries record tapes for the computer!

My Star Trek Book & Audio Cassette pack will be coming back in style. Very cool.

I never stopped playing them, and last year and came into a whole batch of brand new ones that my supervisor gave me. I even still use my Walkman!

Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic

          I did that too.

          That's awesome!
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

You know, I dismissed the cassette out of hand because of pre-recorded music. But MAN, did I spend a lot of time making my own tapes on my portable tape recorder. My friends and I made mini-audio adventures with sound effects, comedy skits, etc. I would love to find some of those.

So I guess the cassette means more to me than I initially considered.

This smokes any cassette tape machine...

You can edit so easily, like splicing 8mm film.

I had one of these (not that model) in the 80s, when I was taking communication arts in college...

Yes, it's very nice. But it would have been challenging carrying it around the mall to listen to my mix tapes.

                  True...

I’m not here to hate on cassette tapes though...I have very fond memories of them.

My favorite was the Sony Boodo Khan, a top of the line Walkman. It cost me an arm and a leg back in the day...I still have it somewhere stored in my basement...

Great sounding Walkman! Very strong bass.

                  It’s now a rare find...

Wow, this non working Boodo Khan sold for $531...and not working, sold for parts...

I’m going to swan dive into my basement, find it...and sell it...

I'd keep something that nice. It's a real piece of history and difficult to replace if you change your mind later.

I have no emotional attachments...if I get $500 for it...I’m buying either more airbrush equipment or get another Alien/Xenomorph statue/maquette...

Hmmm, something to look for in Japan, makes me wonder what other non-toy items I should be looking for over there!
