    RIP Mark E. Smith

    Post-punk legend - age 60 (didn't look a day over 80 and he probably lived enough life to be 120).

    He was noisy, cranky, and one of my favourites.

    Ah, indeed!… nice seeing that vid again, it's been a while. Lots of creative stock lost early in 2018; I posted about Joe Frank and share Mr. Bragg's sentiments:

    First we lost Ursula Le Guin, then Hugh Masekela, now Mark E Smith. Been a tough week for cultural icons.

      Rough news.

      Yep, him and Mr. Frank's voices were among the most distinctive of the century. Thank goodness for magnetic tape!

        For some reason I thinking he was the father of the BRMC guitarist turns out that was Michael Been from the Call who already died in 2010.
