A Christmas Story Live. You are not prepared.

To get it out of the way I think the cast is fine and yes I realized it would be a musical. But I was not prepared for just how much singing there is. So much singing. Just so much singing. It burns!!!! It burns!!!!!
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I saw the leg lamp scene and just ....nope.

While I'm not allergic to musicals, I saw enough to go back down to my office and continue with my course.

I didn't get past that odd opening number before I bailed. Just couldn't do it.

I tried to watch it, I really did. After fifteen minutes, I popped in my “A CHRISTMAS STORY” DVD and I was happy again...
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

I love musicals--if they're good. I gave up on this one.

For me, the teacher was the only ray of sunlight.

Jane Krakowski was the reason i gave it a chance in the first place.

It was truly horrible...my daughter liked it though, but she has no real appreciation for the original. I will agree Jane Krakowski (the Teacher) is easy to look at, and her talents (which are many) was wasted on this trainwreck.

By that point I was like "What the holy hell am I watching!?" and turned it off. I could stand no more.

As soon as I saw that Maya Rudolph was in it, it was curtains for "A Christmas Story Live."

I would love to know how that talentless hack keeps finding work.
If I had only spent a tenth of the time studying Physics that I spent learning Star Wars and Baseball trivia, I would have won the Nobel Prize.

It aired last night on the Fox network.
