    Terrible day

Today I woke up to my daughter having a seizure. It never happened before and I was scared. We called an ambulance and she still was unresponsive. Her fever was through the roof. She was transferred to a child's hospital here and she started to become responsive. They told us she had a bad infection that caused theseizure and it would take her a while to come around. They checked her brain, no problem, they checked her lungs and saw a haziness. They said it looked like a touch of phenomia (sp). I just came home to take a shower and get some clothes. As I walked into my house my wife calls and tells me Lizzy is coming around, getting mad at the tubes and most of all, the oxygen mask. Needless to say this is the real first time I breathed today. I wanted to warn all parents out there to check your kids for fevers. Lizzy has a slight one early in the morning that turned into something that almost killed her. Also, it you are spiritual I'd like to ask you to pray for my little girl's speedy recovery. I know this was a fluke but a scary one.

As a young man who desperatly wants to have kids someday (soon), I tend to always be thinking about all the great times you must have as a parent, and often overlook how difficult things can be. I'll be sure to pray for your daughter. I sincerly hope all works out ok.

John - my wife and I will be praying for you, your wife, and your little girl. I know it had to scare you and your wife to death -

My wife wanted me to tell you to tell your wife that she is thinking about her specifically...
