Phasing out my Superman collection...moving to an all ALIEN/Xenomorph theme...

Seriously, will still always love Supes.

However, ALIEN is my all time favorite film. I watched it with my dad way back in 1979, at the now closed Coronet Theater in San Francisco. I was terrified and fascinated all at the same time. Needless to say, Aliens is my second favorite film.

The problem as many of you know...they were basically no toys for it, except for the quickly recalled Kenner Alien. Never had a chance to obtain one back then (I obviously have one now, ha).

Love the H.R. Giger artwork...it’s just so weird and boss.

I’m converting my entire backyard cottage bedroom to an all ALIEN/Xenomorph theme man-cave.

I have tons of statues, maquettes, action-figures, mini busts, 3D models, Resin garage kits, signed posters, ships, weapons, paintings, wall sculptures, recycled Thai metal frame Xenomorphs, decals, magnets, signs...and god knows what else, lol.

My next big buy...a 1:1 scale Alien head.

Not ready to display or post pictures yet...early next year...

I’m phasing out light...Supes. Now I’ll be embracing darkness...Xenomorphs...

Hector, you know that I know EXACTLY how you feel. Same reason I let my Marvel collection go and went back to monster models.
I still love old Marvel, but I'm much happier with my current collection and I know you will be too.

Also, dad and I had the Alien connection going, as he loved the movie too. He was not a superhero fan though, so no mutual Superman appreciation existed...

...his all time favorite movie was Blade Runner. He would’ve absolutely loved the sequel, so it was bittersweet watching it...

I say, no...Predator is the B-side. Alien the A-side...

Not into Predator. I love the first movie, but I was older when I saw it...and didn’t get that emotional connection.

My stuff is mostly non action figures. Statues, resin models, Sideshow, Hot Toys, etc. Well, I do have lots of Neca and some McFarlane.

A month ago or so I landed a mint vintage Ben Cooper Alien mask/costume/box.

I’m currently on the lookout for a Collegeville one. There are two on eBay right now, but I wouldn’t want to pay more than $75...as they are not as desired or pricey as the Ben Cooper one. The Collegeville Alien is more generic-looking as well. The Ben Cooper on the other hand is dead on.
