"HIGH-OCTANE ACTION THRILLER..." – Kevin Thomas, Los Angeles Times
Snake is back! Kurt Russell rejoins filmmakers John Carpenter and Debra Hill to do to Los Angeles what they did to the Big Apple in Escape From New York – with even more futuristic thrills and big action!
Into the 9.6-quaked Los Angeles of 2013 comes Snake Plissken (Russell). His job: wade through L.A.'s ruined landmarks to retrieve a doomsday device. Don't miss the excitement as Snake surfs Wilshire Blvd., shoots hoops at the Coliseum, dive bombs the Happy Kingdom theme park, and mixes it up with a wild assortment of friends and foes including Stacy Keach, Steve Buscemi, Bruce Campbell, Peter Fonda, George Corraface, Cliff Robertson and Pam Grier. Escape From L.A. is a "go-for-broke action extravaganza" (Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun Times)!Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

that movie is just painfully bad. I tried watching recently on one of the movie channels and couldn't sit through it. the effects look like what they used in Plan 9 from Outer Space. the acting is bad, the effects are bad, the movie just really sucksComment

A few years ago i bought a new tv and put "Escape" on just to test it out, I hadn't seen it since the theatre. Yeah, the effects were particularly dated. The film itself, I don't hate it but i won't deny that it's something of a failure.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

Frozen in ice, can the creature be brought back to live again?
Horror great Peter Cushing stars in this fantastic tale as the monster's creator, Baron von Frankenstein, determined to bring the creature back to life. Long thought destroyed, Dr. Frankenstein's creation is discovered frozen alive and resurrected back in his laboratory. Unfortunately, the creature's mind is dormant and, much to the Baron's horror, he finds that only a hypnotist can order the creature to do his unfathomable bidding now.

^That's an interesting one. You can't make it fit with the other Hammers at all. It's more of a Universal/Hammer hybrid, like a spiritual sequel to both. It's too bad Kiwi Kingston's makeup is so crude as well. A big step down from Lee's look in the first Hammer Frankenstein.

I gotta admit though, Scream Factory doesn't spend much on the cover art. I'd prefer the original poster to that.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

It's my FIRST Frankenstein movie (oddly it played on Christmas day), I kind of thought it was Karloff as a kid. So obviously, I have more love than others for it.

Some of his stuff is really great, other pieces do look like manipulated photos, I obviously could be wrong.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions
