Ok. Orphans! Listen to Ignacio. I know it is fun to wrestle. A nice piledrive to the face... or a punch to the face... but you cannot do it. Because, it is in the Bible not to wrestle your neighbour.

I've always liked Dr. Hook (and the Medicine Show!)..."Cover of the Rolling Stone" is the first song I remember from them, even though at the age of 5 I didn't quite get everything they were singing about. But my favorite song from them has to be "Sylvia's Mother"...not only is Sylvia's mother a bee-yotch to the singer but then he's gotta deal with the freakin' operator bugging him for "40 cents more...for the next...three...minutes...pleeeease!" Poor guy can't get a break!

My wife plays Cover of the Rolling Stone, all the time. It drives me nuts. I do like some of the music from that time, but not this one. Not really familiar with a lot of their stuff so they may have others I would like.

I have heard of Dr. Hook although just a bit before more time. I am "in love with a beautiful woman". Does that count?

I think that's their best song and simply one of the best songs ever

My Dad used to drive me mad playing Dr Hook.
When that record came out, i'd go listen to some music in my room

I always knew about "Cover of the Rolling Stone", but that was all I knew about them until a few years ago. Their Greatest Hits album is definite road-trip music. A must have! (Penicillin Penny cracks me up).

Did anyone notice that ALL of their "hits" were written by noted children's author Shel Silverstein?

I remember as a young boy being supremely disapointed it wasn't some sort of super villain singing. I took things VERY literal back then....

Was Doctor Hook the spin off pantomine show merging Doctor Who and the villain from Peter Pan?
