Ok. Orphans! Listen to Ignacio. I know it is fun to wrestle. A nice piledrive to the face... or a punch to the face... but you cannot do it. Because, it is in the Bible not to wrestle your neighbour.
I've always liked Dr. Hook (and the Medicine Show!)..."Cover of the Rolling Stone" is the first song I remember from them, even though at the age of 5 I didn't quite get everything they were singing about. But my favorite song from them has to be "Sylvia's Mother"...not only is Sylvia's mother a bee-yotch to the singer but then he's gotta deal with the freakin' operator bugging him for "40 cents more...for the next...three...minutes...pleeeease!" Poor guy can't get a break!
Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!
My wife plays Cover of the Rolling Stone, all the time. It drives me nuts. I do like some of the music from that time, but not this one. Not really familiar with a lot of their stuff so they may have others I would like.
I am "in love with a beautiful woman". Does that count?
I think that's their best song and simply one of the best songs ever
written/recorded by any artist.
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix
I always knew about "Cover of the Rolling Stone", but that was all I knew about them until a few years ago. Their Greatest Hits album is definite road-trip music. A must have! (Penicillin Penny cracks me up).
Did anyone notice that ALL of their "hits" were written by noted children's author Shel Silverstein?
Was Doctor Hook the spin off pantomine show merging Doctor Who and the villain from Peter Pan?
lol...only kidding....don't mind them in the background...
ENGLISH AND DAMN PROUD OF IT British by birth....English by the grace of God. Yes Jamie...it is big isn't it....
