    eBay selling question

I'm not allowed to list anymore because I hit the selling limit around $5000 in the last 4 months. They asked for tax forms but I don't feel comfortable doing that because buying/selling is only a hobby to me and I didn't set aside 20-30% of sales for tax purposes. Will waiting a few months push me off the max limit?

Anyone else have this problem before?

IMO, this reads as if you had a store account with a constantly rotating amount of items, eBay metrics are predicting your potential sales and you're going to cross 6K which is the threshold for declaration. Multiply that by five months plus holidays and they see you hitting 10K.

It really comes down to your overall taxes and if 10K changes your filings dramatically.

    How overall account limits work

You have a limit on sold items, gross merchandise volume, and active items for sale. If an item sells, it counts toward the limit, but if a listing ends without any sold items, it no longer counts toward the limit.

You may be able to request a higher account limit by confirming your information, linking your new account to an established account, or contacting us. When you reach a selling limit, we give you the option to request an increase to the amount you can list. We may also evaluate your selling activity on a monthly basis and grant a new limit on your account if you qualify.

Important: If you exceed the maximum amount you can list in a month, reduce the number of active listings you have on eBay to bring the number within your limit. We may end any listings that place you over your current limit. Good 'Til Cancelled listings count toward your selling limits, and won't renew automatically if you've reached the maximum amount that you can list.

To learn more about opportunities to examine your selling practices and focus on improving performance, review our seller performance standards.

The problem seems to be with PayPal. I guess it has only been froze for 3 weeks now so I should be patient but it will effect my show/online buying and I will have to be more careful what I buy because I can't flip it at the moment.
