I always enjoyed him in everything I saw him in. One of mine and my dad's favorite little gems is a clever TV western movie called Purgatory with Shepard in the lead.

A true loss. He was already legendary in his forties when I studied his plays "True West" and "Buried Child" in college. He was a fine actor, too. RIP sir.

Yeah we watched Fool for Love in my college Theater class. He is taught by many college professors.
