"If" is an excellent song, hobub. If songs were double-billed like movies at Drive-In theaters, a good companion piece would, IMHO, be...

sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

Brilliant one! Love David Gates and Bread, as well.

Ok, a little country. Just give it a chance. Bobby Bare from Cincinnati.

I think Toby Keith owes a little homage to this sound with his red solo cup. If anything he could re-record it for today's county music fans. Again, Bobby Bare.

Picture Captain Kirk here and this song takes on a hole new meaning

And speaking of captains, I'd was always intrigued by Brandy. I'm sure she would have made a good wife but she fell in love with a sea captain, and you know what they love.

And to cap it off none other than Jim Morrison got in on the act at one point singing about an old retired sea captain. I don't hear this much either. Land Ho!

Yes, that's Dave Gilmour in the video and Rick Wright lipping the vocals

Love early Floyd. Speaking of psychedelia, this is a psychedelic early version of an otherwise non-psychedelic song. Canned wheat but can you guess who? Time is running out.
