    Wizard of Oz super collection

I couldn't see any evidence of Mego figures in this collection but that's not surprising because this guy owns a lot of much more interesting and hard to find pieces that the camera wisely gravitates to. I especially love his hidden room.

If he's only 30 years old, how has he spent $450,000 in 27 years?

Guy had to have been born rich.

Wow. I'm quite an Oz fan and was well-pleased to get a boxed Witch's Castle. But this is epic, the hidden room is cool.

Well, he did mention his mother passing away when he was young, and coming from a family of collectors. Maybe this was funded through a combination of insurance money and selling off pieces of her collection.

Yeah, I just thought it was strangely worded. I was picturing this Richie Rich type three year old buying stuff LOL.

he probably means he started getting stuff when he was 3 and never still has it all. I wonder what he does for a living to support such an expensive collection

I don't care if he's of means, besides, you don't necessarily have to be wealthy in order to spend $450K in nearly 30 years, I have more than that in my IRA, maybe he just didn't save and just spent, spent, and spent. it's not as much as you think, you'd be surprised how much you yourselves have spent in three decades. 30 years is a long time. Also, maybe that's the only thing he buys. Imagine all the money any of us have spent on comic books, toys, electronics, trips, cars, watches, sporting events, you'll have a heart attack if you truly knew how much you spent on frivolous things over the decades, lol. Besides, looks like he's not really sure, as his estimates are really wide apart, from $400K to $450K...not being able to pinpoint that floating $50K...he might be even be exaggerating...most collectors tend to overvalue their stuff, god knows I've done it, lol...

But if he's rich, he's rich, more power to him.

I dig his collection...pretty awesome...as Brian said, love that hidden room too.

Cool playset. Use the Star trek crew and recreate Catspaw.

It's awesome--I like it for the monsters, too. Good idea with Trek.
