John Lester just pitched a no hitter

Red sox pitcher - 2006 had cancer - came back last year helped them win the world series and now has a no hitter.

only 5 left handed pitchers have done it for the red sox and the last one was over 50 years ago.

I watched it too. Great story. Kid comes back from cancer and does something like this. Very inspirational. First complete game of his career and it's a no hitter. Jacoby Ellsbury made a great catch to save it in the 4th inning. 4 of the last 6 no hitters have been by Red Sox pitchers. Lowe-Nomo-Buckholz-Lester. Saw all but Bukholz'. Went gambling and caught the last two outs in the bar at the casino.

if lester keeps pitching like that could be another world series game in his future i love the red sox glad lester did it saw him coming up in pawtuket . i am very happy for all he has gone through. 2 rookie pitchers in 2 years . boston does sem to have luck with the young guys as of late. congrats to john lester. mike
